Naropa is excited to welcome Bernie Glassman for a public talk, "Making Peace: The World as One Body." World-renowned pioneer in the American Zen Movement, Bernie Glassman is a spiritual leader, published author, accomplished academic, and successful businessman with a PhD in Applied Mathematics. Glassman is the founder of the Greyston Foundation, a network of for-profits and nonprofits collaborating to improve the lives of individuals and the larger inner city community of southwest Yonkers, New York by providing permanent housing, jobs, job training, child care, after-school programs, and various other supportive services. Glassman also founded Zen Peacemakers, an international, interfaith network dedicated to peace and social justice.
Bernie Glassman's lecture, "Making Peace: The World as One Body" will take place on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Naropa's Performing Arts Center, 2130 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder, CO 80302. Tickets are free, but registration is required. Register here.
