Based on the teachings presented by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche at annual three-month-long meditation and study retreats known as the Vajradhatu Seminaries, the three-volume The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma presents a complete map of the Tibetan Buddhist path from beginning to end. Divided into three volumes, The Path of Individual Liberation, The Bodhisattva Path of Wisdom and Compassion, and The Tantric Path of Indestructible Wakefulness, this collection presents Trungpa Rinpoche's teachings on the hinayana, mahayana, and vajrayana in a way that joins the traditional concepts with contemplative understanding.

Acharya Judy Lief is the editor of The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma, and has been a teacher for over 30 years in the Buddhist and Shambhala traditions. A close student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Lief worked with Trungpa as executive editor of Vajradhatu Publications, and from 1980-1985 as the Dean of Naropa University. Lief also authored Making Friends with Death: A Buddhist Guide to Encountering Mortality (Shambhala, 2001), and has been presenting classes and workshops on a contemplative approach to death and dying, as well as the teachings of The Tibetan Book of the Dead, since 1976.

Chuck Lief, President of Naropa University, studied and worked closely with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He was an original member of the Nalanda Foundation board of directors, Naropa University's nonprofit home for its first decade, remaining a member of the university's board of trustees until becoming university president in 2012. As president of Naropa University, Lief aims to amplify, honor, and celebrate the founding vision of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche.

Acharya Judith Simmer-Brown, Professor of Religious Studies at Naropa University since 1977, specializes in Tibetan and American Buddhism, interreligious dialogue, and contemplative education. Simmer-Brown worked closely with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche during her early years of teaching at Naropa, and inspired by the Vidyadhara's teachings on "feminine principle," authored Dakini's Warm Breath: The Feminine Principle in Tibetan Buddhism (Shambhala, 2001).

Acharya Sam Bercholz is the founder of Shambhala Publications, and a senior teacher in the Nyingma, Kagyu, and Shambhala lineages, having taught dharma extensively throughout North America, Europe, and Australasia for the past forty years. He was trained and empowered to teach by the great Tibetan Buddhist masters, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Thinley Norbu Rinpoche.

Johanna Demetrakas, filmmaker, first met and began studying with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1971 in Los Angeles. She especially connected to dharma art, and spent time with Trungpa Rinpoche experimenting with film, subject matter, and composition. In the 1980s, she began teaching Shambhala programs extensively throughout the U.S., Canada , New Zealand, and Mexico. Alive Mind, a division of Kino Lorber Films, is distributing her latest feature documentary, Crazy Wisdom: The Life and Times of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche.

Co-sponsored by the The Chögyam Trungpa Legacy Project. The mission of The Chögyam Trungpa Legacy Project is to preserve the teachings of the Vidyadhara, the Venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, to foster wisdom and compassion. For more information, please visit www.chogramtrungpa.com.
